I’ve never really understood performance art, but I can really appreciate Marina Abramovic’s body of work after having watched The Artist is Present.
I love the piece where Marina and her former partner walk from separate ends of The Great Wall of China to meet in the middle.
It’s pretty cute when James Franco sits opposite Marina during The Artist is Present retrospective and relays the experience to some older patrons at MoMA, who in turn ask James whether he’s an actor and he blushes.
